Coach Barry Wade
is very excited about his third season as the head coach of the Lady Viking Basketball Program. Last season, Coach Wade led the Lady Vikings to the District 1-AAA Championship and a 23-9 overall record. In his first season, the Lady Vikings made their first ever trip to the TSSAA State Tournament. The Lady Vikings posted a fantastic 28-5 record in Coach Wade’s initial campaign. Prior to being named head coach, Coach Wade led the Lady Viking junior varsity team to three straight Big 9 regular season and tournament championships and an overall record of 75-4. Before coming to THS, Coach Wade was the head coach at Sullivan North High School, his high school alma mater. Coach Wade is a graduate of Virginia Intermont College and teaches in the Special Education department at THS. He is very excited about the upcoming season and expects great things from this group of Lady Vikings.

Coach Charlie Tiller begins his seventh year on the Lady Viking staff as assistant head coach and will also serve as the head coach of the junior varsity team this year. He also is an assistant with the THS softball team. Before coming to THS, Coach Tiller spent three years at Vance Middle School. Prior to coming to Bristol, Coach Tiller coached for two years at Indian Trail Middle School in Johnson City. Coach Tiller is a graduate of THS and East Tennessee State University and teaches English and Social Studies at Tennessee High. Coach Tiller is really looking forward to this season presents and hopes to help the team build on the great tradition of Lady Viking Basketball.

Coach Angie Wilhoit returns for her tenth season on the Lady Viking coaching staff. Coach Wilhoit came to THS after a standout playing career at Sullivan East and East Tennessee State University. Coach Wilhoit led the Lady Patriots to back to back trips to the State Tournament in her final two high school campaigns then was a four year starter and standout performer for the Lady Bucs. Coach Wilhoit teaches at Haynesfield Elementary. Coach Wilhoit is excited to be back and is looking forward to an awesome season.

Coach Amanda Carroll begins her third season with the Lady Viking Basketball Program. Coach Carroll will be serving as a varsity assistant and will be the head coach of the freshman team. She is also an assistant with the track team. Prior to coming to THS, Coach Carroll coached for two years at Surgoinsville Middle School. Coach Carroll is a graduate of Sullivan North High School where she played the point guard position for Coach Wade. She is currently a student at East Tennessee State pursing a teaching degree and she also does some substituting in the school sysytem. Coach Carroll is excited about this new opportunity and is looking forward to working with this group of Lady Vikings.

Coach Courtney Watkins-Stone is new to the Lady Viking coaching staff this year but is hardly a stranger to fans of the Lady Vikings. She is one of the most accomplished players in the history of the program. She was a multiple time All-Conference selection and was Conference Player of the Year in 2004. She is also the second-leading scorer in the history of the Lady Viking basketball program with over 2,000 career points. Coach Stone continued her playing days at Liberty University where she had an excellent career. After coaching at Westview Middle School in Morristown last year, she returned to Bristol this year. Coach Stone is a guidance counselor at Vance Middle School. Coach Stone is very excited to be back at THS and is looking forward to helping this group of Lady Vikings be the best they can be.
