Coach Daryl Shanks has been on the Vikings sideline for 15 years. Before becoming the defensive line coach, Coach Shanks spent time with the offensive line and the freshman team. Coach Shanks is a David Crockett High School graduate, where he played defensive tackle for Coach Wampler. Along with many of the other coaches, Coach Shanks is an ETSU alumni. He and his wife, Brook, have two children, Taylor and Cooper.
