• Parents... this semester's PTSA Open House will be held on Monday, January 30th at 6:00 p.m.
    • Juniors and Seniors at Tennessee High School have an awesome opportunity for FREE ACT test preparation. Study sessions and Pre-testing will be: Monday through Thursday, 2:45-3:45 in the THS Library. All juniors will take the ACT on March 20th during the school day. If you cannot attend sessions, but want to study on your own, you may pick up your free copy of the study guide in the library. If interested in forming an evening study session on Thursdays 7:00-8:00, please sign up in Guidance.
    • We will be giving the Eleventh Grade Writing Assessment to all juniors on Wednesday, February 1, 2012.
    • On Thursday, February 9th, the Johnson City Mall will host a career fair from 3:00-7:00. High school students are urged to attend!
    • Learn safe driving skills and how to avoid accidents at this workshop sponsored by BMS.

    • The BTCS weather hotline which announces schedule changes is 652-9554.
    • NASCAR has recently announced that the 2012 spring races at Bristol Motor Speedway will be held March 16-18. As such, Bristol Tennessee City Schools will now be closed on Friday, March 16.
    • It is not too late to order your yearbook (Cadmea 2012). Simply log on to Jostensyearbooks.com or pick up an order form in the THS main office. All yearbooks MUST be ordered by Jan. 31, 2012.
    • Tutoring is available after school every day from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the library. For further information contact Anna Booher, Linda Waldron or Shelah Higgins at Tennessee High School, 423-652-9494. Teachers can obtain a Referral Form HERE. Parents can view the tutoring brochure HERE.
    • The library will open at 6:55 a.m. and remain open until 3:30 p.m. Students who need to work in the library or make up a test will be granted permission to go to the library from the cafeteria, Viking Hall or the front door before school. Students must report directly to the library and sign in upon their arrival.
