Back on the Bus

July 15, 2009

Bristol Tennessee City Schools, Wal-Mart, Pepsi, and WMEV-FM 94 need your help to make sure every student has school supplies for back to school!

On Monday, August 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. these sponsors will again join together to host the fifth annual Back on the Bus program at the Wal-Mart in Bristol, Tenn. This program is specifically designed to collect school supplies for those students who are unable to purchase them.

Packing a school bus full of school supplies is a sight to see and we need your help to make this year’s event a success. During the event, Pepsi will be giving away free merchandise to anyone who makes a donation, WMEV-FM 94 will be promoting the event live on the radio, and Bristol Tennessee City Schools personnel will be on hand to provide information about supplies and to assist those who choose to participate in this worthy cause.

If you wish to make a donation, you can buy the school supplies inside Wal-Mart and then drop them off at the bus as you leave or you may bring pre-purchased school supplies and drop them off at the bus. All school supplies will then be distributed accordingly among the Bristol Tennessee City Schools. For more information, please contact Kay Ward at wardk@btcs.org.
